The five rhythms of Andalusian music. Forms and variants.
The music of the Arab world offers a rich variety of rhythms. Recalling its geography, from Morocco to Syria and Palestine, we find music with a multiple range of rhythmic formulas that, however, characterize the different local cultures. In this course, the rhythms of the music of al-Andalus are explained, in a theoretical and, above all, practical way; a unique occasion to definitively assimilate the rhythms that balanced the hearts of princes, caliphs, musicians and lovers of al-Andalus.
