Instructor: Nesma
In this class, we will study the choreography based on the muwashah "Ramani Bisahmi Hawah."
The composer of this music, Dawod Hosni, (1870 - 1937), was from Egypt, and the arrangements and vocals are by Rebal Alkhodari from Syria.
We will start by analyzing how Nesma has subdivided the melody to adapt it to the choreography, as well as the meaning of the lyrics.
We will focus on the first two parts of the choreography, corresponding to Dor 1 and Dor 2. In these sections, the melody is repeated but with different lyrics. At the end of the class, you can find a quick summary of each studied part, including the steps and timing. In the last chapter, you can see the entire part of the choreography studied in this class.
For those interested in learning this choreography quickly, you can go directly to chapter 13. Afterwards, if you have any doubts or want to know more about the meaning or melodic subdivision, you can review the previous chapters to reinforce your learning.
